The Case Of The Missing Painting - written by Kashvi

 One day, Emily was playing with her little sister when she heard the phone ringing. She went to get the phone and check who’s calling her, she picked up the phone and noticed it was the mayor, she was shocked and told her Mom “Mom! The mayor’s calling us!” 

Her Mom heard her and said “Ok answer the phone it might be important!” Emily instantly without hesitation she picked up the phone and heard the mayor saying “Ah, There you are Emily,” Emily said “Do you need anything to be done?”

 The mayor said “ Yes, yes I do! I need you to paint a picture for the opening of the Museum!”

Emily had said back “ Ok I’ll do it! I’ll make sure you get a picture in a few days!” 

The mayor said “Great! It’s due in three days, I will be looking forward to seeing the painting you’ve come up with,”

Emily said “Ok! Bye.”

The mayor said “Bye have a nice day!” And ended the call. Emily ran from her room and downstairs to her Mom, When Emily got to the kitchen she told her Mom “Mom! The mayor just told me to paint a painting for the opening of the new museum!”
Her mom said “That’s Great!” Emily went back upstairs where her little sister was and went back playing with her. She was so excited! Emily was thinking what painting she should do, She was to busy thinking that she wasn’t paying attention to her little sister. Then Emily's Mom called "Dinner's ready!" Emily held her little sisters hand and went downstairs to the kitchen. She had her dinner and went to her bedroom, She got all cozy in her bed and her Mom gave her a soft kiss on her cheek. Emily went to bed. The next morning, Emily was awoken buy her alarm clock. Emily was startled, and woke up sleepily she went to the bathroom and got freshened up. She went downstairs and deiced to have some cereal for breakfast. When she was done she went and called her bestfriend. She called Bella on the phone, Bella answered and asked Emily "Why'd you call me? Do you need anything?" Emily answered Bella's question by saying "The mayor want's me to make a painting for the opening of the new museum!"

Bella said " That's so cool!" Bella told Emily "So, what are you going to paint?" Emily said "Uh, I don't know yet, But I hope it will turn out good,"

Bella said "I have to go now, My Mom's calling me." "Bye tell me when your done with the painting!" Bella then cut the call. Emily wondered what she could paint. She was good and all at drawing but picking out a painting that was for a special occasion, Emily was nervous. Emily looked at all of the painting choices, She found one that looked very eye catching. She took a canvas she found and drew the drawing onto the canvas. When Emily was done drawing the painting she started painting. She got the water, the colors, and she got some tissue papers. She when and got started on the painting. Few hours passed, Emily tried her best to make it real and blended it nicely. Her Mom was passing by her and saw her doing a painting and asked "What's this painting for?" Emily couldn't answer she was to busy painting. When Emily did the final touch's on the painting she thought it was the best painting she had ever made. On the day when the museum was opening Emily was excited.
